Water usage requirement for Hotels:
Restrooms and Guest bathrooms – Domestic water accounts for a major share of the total water consumption for the hotel. Water is used for showers, toilets, urinals etc.
Maintenance – Water consumption is also high for heating/cooling, general cleaning purposes and laundries within the hotel.
Swimming pool & Spas – Water in large quantities is also required for swimming pools and other related facilities such as Jacuzzi etc.
Kitchen – Water is used for a number of applications in the kitchen. It is used for cooking, cleaning, ice machines, beverage production etc. The water that is to be used in the kitchen has to be of superior quality to ensure that the food is great in taste and the water is completely bacteria free and crystal clear.
Outdoor irrigation – On average, around 13% of the total water consumption is used for landscaping and irrigation purposes. The water used for irrigation has to have low dissolved solids to ensure that the sprinkler system does not get clogged.
Restaurants - Water is used for a lot of applications which include, drinking, fountain soft drinks, coffee machines, reconstituted juices, washing, cleaning etc.
